Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Blame Bill, he brought up winter tires.
Me?
It started like 2 hours before I even logged on when you brought up wanting different wheels.

Its just about 50 here and blue skies. Perfect snow killing weather.

So I listen to music while I work almost all the time. Every pair of headphones I've ever owned has lasted less than a year. The only set I've ever had last longer is these and they also happen to sound fantastic. I got them for my 21st birthday and they've been on their way out for a while (the wires started breaking right next to the speaker housing). They just finally siht the bed about 10 minutes ago. What should I get for my new pair? I'd prefer something small, not mixing headphones or something... I considered getting the same pair again but I've heard skull candy makes some good stuff.

I still listen to cassettes and CDs.
Walkman FTW.

With the plastic headphones with the foam over the speaker? The sound quality must be incredible. I always found those headphones hurt my ears after 20 minutes and I have an iPod. Carrying around 5k songs in something smaller than my wallet that can also surf the net? Thank you very much.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

$5 fleabay replacement or $200+ dumb things with a screen?
Plus 99.9% of the time I'd rather listen to wind/engine noise/my own thoughts over music.
Thank you very much.

I buy 10 dollar headphones from Radio Shack. The cable right near the plug is toast on my current set and I have to put it in a certain position to get any sound in the left speaker. They last 2 years.

At home I have a wireless set of RCA 900MHz headphones. Very comfortable and great range (especially after I added an external directional antenna that points in the direction I usually want to listen to music from a distance) but make the backs of my hears hurt after a few hours of wearing them.

Listening to headphones while driving is the most retarded idea ever and I want to slap drivers when I see them doing it.

And I'm not gonna lie IMO, wind gets old fast, the only exception is on my bike.

Those $10 ones sound like crap and break in 6 months for me. I have a set of wireless 'phones at home too. They're great, but they're staying at home.

Klipsch makes some good stuff. My garage speakers are from them.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

too bad audiovox bought them now theyre gonna go to shit
Really? Bummer. :(

We've got some older solid oak ones that literally drive screws out of the drywall.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have 2 pairs of skull candies. One on ear and one ear bud. Both are adequate sound but not the best I've used. I deff want a pair of over ear if I buy a set where i don't care about looking like a fool or need them to fit under a helmet.

I'm half deaf and definitely not an audiophile. They sound fine to me.

Those people who listen to music while driving are just trying to offset a bad engine noise or lack of a cool engine sounds.
