I can't see the picture but I don't approve. that money is better spent at a shop, paying someone to work on your jeep.

I refuse to spend more than 60 dollars per rim for anything.

Fortunately my V5s were like 55, the winter rims I got for the MJ were like 45, the summer rims are ZJ canyons and came with near brand new rubber on them for 250 a year and a half ago, and rims for the M54A2 are 50 bucks each at P&J truck parts on the way to Johnny's place.

Do they balance out?

I think they will balance out (I'll find out soon), but for a 'nice' car, they're real ugly.

Like I said, this is at least a year out. I won't be doing this till the current tires are spanked.

Also opens me up to get bigger third gen front brakes.

But like I said, it still stops fine and my wheels still balance out so no need.

I could also use that money instead to get a jake brake :shocked:

Speaking of which I really need to start tearing the MJ down. It's getting nice enough out these days that I can actually fathom the idea of getting home from working on the house at 10pm and immediately starting work on it.

I'd love to get a jake brake. It would help out on the hills to/from PA quite a bit. Diesels don't have the greatest engine braking (which I would think is due to the high compression ratio?).

In my dad's '08 6.7, he can set the cruise, turn on the jake brake and a/c, and pretty much take a nap behind the wheel. Doesn't even downshift on hills towing his challenger.

His tires are stretched and the sidewall is shorter on those than on stock, so in that picture I agree. the 245/35 sidewall is the same height (within a couple mm) as 225/40 and won't stretch at all. I'm going to a wider rim for better grip, not for looks yo

Here's what I've got for summer rims now (225/40R18)

Winter (235/45R17 I think...)
