I have plenty of time. But my boss sucks at making schedules and when he messes it up he still expects you to be there. I leave him two notes and tell him in person every time I need time off. I get about 60% of the time off. Then he forgets that I can work my normal shifts after the time off and I have to tell him I need more hours. Legit, constant battle with the dumbest person I've ever met.
wow, that really blows. I had a boss like that at the quicklube but he ended up getting fired and sued by the company for stealing several thousand dollars (a couple days of deposit envelopes) and a few thousand dollars of stock as well. The guy that replaced him was a huge improvement.

That sucks. One of my old bosses would try doing that to me once in a while, once he ended up with 4 of the 6 guys in the shop on vacation at once because he screwed up and never wrote anything down. Put in for the time in writing, and take it, no matter what the schedule says. If they don't want to treat you fair, you don't belong there.
The problem is, it's Market Basket. As everyone know, unless you're high in the food chain the job sucks and you get shit on on a daily basis. My store manager LOVES me and wants me to work with the MB's HVAC crew when I graduate with my HVAC degree. Those guys make stupid money and actually get treated fairly well from the ones I have talked to. I've been there for six years and really don't want to stick my foot in my mouth or burn any bridges on my way out.
