btw, cute ruler.

I knew someone was going to give me sh*t about the ruler. It was the only ruler I could find, and I tried taking some more pictures after that but they came out blurry, so I just didn't bother. Its a truck because its a shipping company. Not some little kids ruler.

evil thoughts have been creeping into my head, so i jsut took the sawzal to the areas in question. i can now see down my rear framerails. i can already see the shackle mount cowering in fear of the teeth on the bi-metal blade, it knows its next!! looks like ill be making a trip to airgas to get a 10# spool of wire tomorrow, fill my oxy-acetylene tanks, and lowes to get some 1/4" plate.

Nice! Do yourself a favor and pick up a second or third 10/11lb spool. Nothing worse than running outa wire.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a second or third 10/11lb spool. Nothing worse than running outa wire.

the only worse is running outta gas. at least with wire, everything just stops. nothin worse then laying a sweet bead only to realize contimanation destoryed the first 2/3's of it

so ehhh...


after a bunch of thinking, i've decided i'm just going to sell back the YJ for something that is more practical as a DD at least. this is becoming too much of a PITA borrowing my mom's car and shit. it's mainly just a pile of minor issues with it, but i want the time fixing the cherokee, not the wrangler. to craigslist it goes.

You should be able to notice when you run out gas as soon as it does during the weld.
But yes, agreed, running out of gas is worse.

That didn't take long. How much more work to get the XJ back to DD duties. Can you live with the YJ issues until that happens?

no not really. i have a decent amount of work i want to do to get hte XJ back on the road, too much to screw around with the wrangler another month before tackling the XJ. i'm realizing i don't want 2 project vehicles. at least it got the wrangler-lust out of me, at least for a little bit. know anyone who wants one?
