i actually got more progress done today on the 99. engine bay is just about torn apart, all i have to do is bleed off the fuel rail and a/c, and pull off the intake / exhaust and it'll be ready to yank out the drivetrain. got the alternator tested and it's good, so that's one less thing to swap. i think i may set up a compressor instead of the a/c on this one, so time to start researching that. and... i gotta find some graceful way to keep my ax-15 instead of the dumb auto slushbox

Just pop the injectors out of the intake there's no need to disconect the fuel rail

aw sheeeeet... harry's u-pull it in hazleton pa has $80 engines the third week of january!

i miiiight have to make a trek since shit... $80 for an engine would let me even profit on parting my 96

yep. cost about 1/5 of his v-dub, has more room, is just as comfy, and gets the same mileage. I think I win :dunno:

even if i still loose... i still have 4/5 of his purchase price to buy a badass truck, in which case i quite obviously win. so, since i have the potential to win...i fukkin win right now.

they do. and i'm not afraid to take out the PS front seat and load er up. I haven't....but I totally would.
