THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

IIRC They dont have anything. Its Wyoming, you can do whatever you want pretty much.

well, you do not remember correctly :) to carry concealed, you need the permit. it's no different than how it all works right in NH, and Maine too for that matter. If you're a Vermont resident, you don't need anything more than a driver's license to carry concealed. Way better than your sweetheart Wyoming!!

Youve probably looked it up and stuff, but I thought it was like this.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I now have the connection with a guy that owns all military big trucks and had his own JY and sells parts :greensmok He lives 5 minutes away. We talked about all sorts of stuff, he has a pair of 5ton axles laying around too. He was good friends with my dads uncle and knows the family from way back.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Really that is the first you've heard of it? Odd. You city folks need to get out more.
I don't think it matters on your MJ, but it might on a pickup with low quality rotors.

I'm with Ross and not sure why you just didn't take the 20 min and do it yourself? I didn't use a press, just a brass punch and a hammer. Races and studs in under half and hour. My bet is you wasted more time driving back and forth than that! :D

I don't live in the city, and dont get what that has to do with it.

Because I was originally going to have him cut the rotors, but showed up and he said they were junk.

So he's getting new rotors for me on Monday and since he already has my hubs hes going to put the studs in for me.

Don't really get how i wasted time but whatever.

9/16 studs too, right? If so you cant argue that, its a good deal.

x2 We had talks about stuff like that. He just sold a deuce and a half frame/axles/suspension/t-case to the guys that own/run the duck boats outta Boston. They're gunna stretch the frame and mate the body to it.

bigfoot use to run 5 tons till they started the tube trucks, then they were breakin the 5tons alot and went with ZF's alot of other trucks use school bus center sections with construction fork lift outers, pretty pimp setups

i need a rockwell...u joint style!!!!!! 2.5 ton

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

just forward the deal to me and ill give you a high-5 and hot sauce

i mean you have 5 ton rockwells, you dont need a 60
they are staying under the vehicle they came under :D

uh me travis and colin got short tube 60's i dont know why everyone has to be so XXXXing retarded about em, and FYI getting the 60 is the cheapest part when ya start dealin with knuckles shafts ect it gets spensive
yeah that's what I remembered as far as colin's 60. I basically texted him and was like "dude I'm looking at a cheap 60, its out of a 97 f350, why would I possibly not buy it" and that's what he said. As noted, for the price I will manage to live with it I'm sure. And yeah, I expect gearing and knuckles (if I get fancy ones) and all that other stuff to add up... but I jump on a steal when I sees it.

Wait, Ken,now you're going 60s? WTF?
not immediately. I first considered the j20 axles and they were likely not a good idea, so I skipped em, and now I'm buying this 60 for what an lp 44 would have cost me before. I am building the hp44 and stashing this 60 till I collect parts for it or decide what I'm going to do with it... but its too good a deal to not jump on, even with its limitations, imo.

Say wha?!?! I'll take it then. Im serious.
No ya won't... I'm buying it :moon:

This is true. The only downside to VT as I have heard is that with no permit, there is no reciprocity with other states (of the retarded nature, like MA) so good luck carrying at all outside VT.

eh no big deal. you can get FL out of state and UT out of state carry permits and between the two of those you cover a good portion of the US. MA sucks balls and doesn't recognize anyone else's permit, so no loss there.

any chance he knows his way around the inside of a rockwell t138 transfer case? I want to find out how to eliminate the sprags and make it straight airshift but I only have one, its in the rig, and I don't want to crack it open till I know what I'm up against.

Interesting about the fl and ut permits, didn't know that was possible. And yeah MA sucks balls for sure.

Probably, we were talking about 205's and 200's. We were talking about CUCV axles too. He seems to know his stuff, nothing beats old timer knowledge.

Come on Keith get with the program. :D
(I don't see why he needs them either really)
whats up with these fancy tools, i uded a socket ext. did just fine
That works too. I guess Colin like to use his wallet. :D

Grinch come and visit you? Gosh Golly. :D

You live in the city, you are 100ft from a 45mph zone and walking distance to like 3 pizza shops.

Ahh, I thought you were having him do it 'cause you wanted a press.
By driving there twice you wasted the time you could have just used putting it together. No harm if that's how you like to do things. :)

Speaking of which, I know it is a small venue but tickets go on sale in two weeks:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bill - yeah, I don't need em right now. But I can get em for cheap, in case I decide I need them later... if not, I'll sell them, can't really lose money on it.
