THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hahaha yeah.

Retard question of the day (I googled the shit out of it and only found other web wheelers and persons of questionable intelligence) - how weak are 5.89s for a D44? If I end up regearing I'm gonna go for the deepest gears I can without worrying too much about strength, I know that generally deeper gears = weaker but there are exceptions. They're 9 tooth pinion and 53 tooth ring, pretty small teeth of course. I can't find anyone saying they've actually broken them without doing something flat out retarded.
what ya running out back?

ford 8.8, will be 5.71s in that since it's the closest they make to a 5.89. About 3% off ratio-wise.

I figure if I'm gonna buy gearsets, I might as well go whole hog unless they are known for breaking. This is only happening immediately (on the 98, so not really immediately) if I can't find a cheap set of HP44 4.10s.

IIRC 8.8 is limited to 5.13's

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's what I thought till I checked. They make em down to 6.14 now

id honestly wouldnt go lower then 5.38's, but if i were you id do 5.71 just because you would be the only one

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Damnit, Shoulda brought the Jeep today :( I drove by it this morning (it's down on the street) and thought I should take that instead.

..On the other hand if I did so I would have missed my job offer so oh well :roflmao:

probably a good idea... I just figure I should get as much gearing as I can out of any money I put into the damn thing. Without risking breaking them too easily, thus the question.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Probably wouldn't have fit.

Standard 9/16-18 60 degree lug nuts would start digging into the wheel.

They need a large face (why the bulge nuts work) to grab the lug opening.
IIRC Travis is running simaler ones on the frt of his, aslong as you get pretty ones and not ugly ass shitty ones like bill:viking:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My ugly ass shitty ones on my 44s worked awesome.

Always spun on nice and never gummed up or backed off.

The ones on my CTD are the same way.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'd love to go through the effort of painting it, but I probably won't.

My brother said that when he graduates next year he wants to get his paint equipment and said he would do my MJ.

We'll see how much truth there is to that.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm calling BS on Rick painting the MJ.
