Only reason I wouldn't run a south american d44 is because they use d30 outer crap from what I can tell... not that it would really mattwer to me. I would definitely be in for this business opportunity though, pending price and amount of cash I have left.

Also, went home and crawled into bed at 4pm because I feel like hell, just woke up. My sleep schedule is now well and truly boned.

when i do that i usually just go out at night and pass out when i get home at 3 am and im good to go the next morning at 7

and i would rock a factpry xj front 44 due to the cool factor alone, nevermind the other benefits

I would run one in the mj just for style points, and yeah I considered it but due to my plague rat status it would not be a fun experience aand I suspect people would avoid me.

oh hey, so I tried one of Scott's known-to-be-good red top optimas yesterday in my Jeep, still nothing. checked fuses under the hood, swapped some relays around, still no start. next suspect...starter?

Wack the shit out of it with the largest metal implement on hand. That's how we got sheep's yj started back up on the last trip after reattaching the gas tank to it

if i want a 5 lug axle i just buy a 5 lug axle, so you are on your own there.

but stock 44 shafts? you are just as good off running your 30. alloys or nothing

It will be getting alloys.. I love having spares though :)

Why not? You have the same functionality with stock D30 parts. Granted for more than 80% street use I'd also rock hubs, but I don't see the anti-flanges debate.

haven't checked it with a multimeter, only had a short amount of time available yesterday before work and couldn't remember offhand where the hell i'd put the MM. I'm planning to check that soon. When I try to turn it over, I get nothing. No clicks, nada. A few weeks ago, when it was tough starting it, if I put jumpers on it and my dad's truck and let it sit for awhile, it'd (very) sluggishly turn the motor over once or twice, and then again nothing. I didn't try jumping it yesterday, so I'm not sure if it'll still do that or not anymore.

Gonna try smashing the back of the starter a few times and cross my fingers, I dunno :)

We didn't really have the option to swap to strong lockouts for the D30 easily/cheaply. My opinion is that Warn Premiums are a reliable alternative to slugs and the only anti-slug position that has any merit is for a mostly street driven rig.
