The two top rubber lines on a pre 97 tank are vent hoses, they T into each other and then go to a hardline. Where the HELL does that line go to?

Hard line that runs along the drivers side frame rail with the fuel and brake lines.

It ends up just to the left of the brake booster and turns into a rubber line into the evap canister that sits on the passenger side frame rail next to the oil filter.

I ripped all my evap crap out of my XJ.

Probably going to do the same. The hardline is rotted almost the entire way up.

Mine was rotted too, took me about 15min and a pile of 3/16 brake line to replace it.

I would replace the hardline Keith. I left that in mine so it would at least keep the vent away from the cab.

Damn. Alright, I have the brake line to do it, but ripping stuff apart is way faster than flaring new line.

Theres no flaring involved :dunno: Just stick a hose on the hardline and plumb it up to a location outta the way/so it doesnt vent into your mouth.
