Haha, I just don't really like Toyota for the most part especially the Supra's. An MR2 or Celica GT4 on the other hand, I'll tollerate.

Once this thing is driveable I'll be researching what I'll need to make a 360 or a 408 stroker swap in so when it dies I can gather the parts.

ive got the same plan, ill be lookin into a 360 or 318 swap with some sort of 5 spd behind it

wah its all in the tune and turbos you use. 2JZ-GTE has twin turbos... run one for torque and one for top end

i want to run one in a cherokee one day... the 2JZ is 150-200lbs lighter than the 4.0 and is almost exactly the same size.

I did that during the November '09 RCRocs race. The passenger side motor mount broke off during lap 2 of prerunning the night before. I took one of my trailer tie-down straps and went from the intake manifold to the exo bar on the driver's side of the hood. It got me one damn good lap time and almost another before the track bar brace wore through my oil pan and finally caused death to the OEM motor.

In all seriousness though...those plates will take what, 2 days? Cheap insurance. A broken engine block sucks ass.

i wanna see broken motor mounts that take out the starter cables and use spare spark plug wires to hold the engine in place and use one spark plug wire as the new starter cable :shocked:
