Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
If not that, one of my friends who still goes to WPI will probably raid the scrap-metal cart in the machine shop there. The lab monitors are really overzealous about tossing stuff on that cart and it just gets melted down, I've built entire projects with materials from it before.
I just remembered I actually have a piece of 1/4" or so thick diamond plate aluminum around somewhere, not sure where. You will have to convince someone to mill the diamonds off one side but I can easily chop off a piece for you, I don't even remember what project it was for.I'm buying Crown springs as soon as I get paid for the construction work I did. I looked at them today and they must have made them for offroading for people that beat the shit out of there jeeps in SOA setups. They're 1000 times beefier in everyway.
If you can find that aluminum you are the man. It will save me $100 that I can't really afford.

hahahahaI'll one up Ken here and say you can beat up my rig via smashing asteroids while exploring space.
understandable. I'm hoping to get the massivemobile rolling again this weekend (probably Saturday after a junkyard run) though I still need to get insurance/registration figured out. Thanks for the offers Ken and Travis, but I need to spend time working on my crapcan this weekend if I ever want it to be done.
Hopefully this weekend I can pound out the rest of the inner plating.
