Eh, I still think I need 'em. :)

Well, you're definitely not getting my vote for your grammatical error.
Maybe the super minor updates coming in my thread will sway your vote?

Hopefully Nick didn't damage that tire.
I'm pumped, it's in 4 days!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i hope to give out lots of hi-c's this weekend

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Too late, sorry :/ I'm already riding home with one of the most untrained towtruck drivers on the planet

I gotta have it back in a day or two anyways else I'll never have it fixed in time for fall crawl.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Trimmed my fenders tonight. Going to put some bump stops in later this week. Jeep flexes to 28 inches before the trie makes contact with my bumper so I got =a trim that a 'lil.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm a little disappointed I didn't get any Hi-C's the other weekend.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I am home, so is the 96, if jay doesn't sell me one who wants to sell a d30 with decent balljoints, non rusted non bent brackets, and 3.55s? I just want to get the damn thing rolling again so I can beat on it at fc, no "you should gear it" suggestions need apply :spin1:

Also looking for aftermarket ucas for 0-3" lift, adjustable preferred but anything strong goes, I want to be able to do what I did Saturday without worrying about folding up my arms and brackets again

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hmmmm free... what's wrong with it? I have shafts and all that junk, so long as it's not rotted or badly bent I'm interested, good to know about the arms, got any for sale or know anyone who does?

its got no shafts or hubs, hasnt been driven on in like 5 years, was under the project rig for a while, its missing a carrier bearing bolt and the tb hole is drilled to 9/16 is the issues i know of, and maybee the seals need to be replaced

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Don't give a damn, if Rob is right and I don't want his I'll run it, how much?

I.e. I'm really not looking forward to pulling one in the jy tomorrow before work and I gotta figure this out tonight otherwise

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone recommend one brand water pump over another brand? I found:
advanced has reman cardone pumps
NAPA has reman pumps with an optional "severe duty" pump available (I would get severe duty if it's a bolt on thing)
and autozone has (apparently new) 'severe duty' pumps but they are made by valuecraft and I have had hit or miss luck with past valuecraft parts...

I figure I will go with new or reman rather than taking chances at a JY since they are relatively inexpensive.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ive always had great luck with NAPA pumps, ive used them on a bunch of different vehicles with great results. even the nova has a napa WP

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Thanks, will probably go with NAPA then since I don't want to wait on shipping from quadratec (checking prices now though, might end up waiting).

I think I might as well just replace all the cooling system stuff while I am at it. Water pump, upper radiator hose (blew mine this wkend but luckily it split right at the clamp so I could shorten it and keep going), thermostat, coolant temp sensor, etc. None of them should be particularly expensive other than the pump but that needs replacing. That way my dash temp gauge might actually work for the first time since I bought the XJ

edit: the flowcooler is pricey (twice what the severe duty NAPA reman costs) but the extra flow sounds like it might be worth it :dunno: going to look into what the 'severe duty' pumps provide, if they flow more than standard duty I might just buy one of those. thanks again.
