THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Adam, this is the WJ I was trying to remember that had nicely painted H2 rims.

(Unfortunately, the kid that built that died when it rolled over on the street due to not wearing a seatbelt, happened in June).

that is a sweet XXXXing wj

and you just made me upset with the last line

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Wow, I didn't read that last line earlier. That's really sad.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That is a sweet Grand and it sucks that something that simple can take you, even with an exo. A kid I know rolled his 4runner out wheeling, wasnt even going that fast but snapped his neck paralyzing him. He finally past a yr or so ago from it.

On a funnier note. The hi-light of my day yesterday was driving home to see an old man out in the rain getting something out of the bed of his truck with nothing on but pink bikini bottoms and bright blue shoes. It was funny and disturbing at the same time. I laughed then got that creepy shudder.

Those are cool. Its a Troller, manufactured by Ford, using Wrangler casts that are a little tweeked.
I have a bunch of photos of them from when I spent a month in Brazil in '04.
Comes stock with a snorkel, and I believe most are turbo-diesel 4 cylinders!

Edit; The Troller T4 is a four-wheel drive vehicle made by Troller Veículos Especiais S/A. It's available only as a two-door car with a fibreglass body and steel chassis, with a design inspired by the Jeep. It has standard 4WD, a 5-speed Eaton manual transmission and Dana axles. The engine is a 3.0 L turbo Diesel built by MWM and was introduced in 2004.

So I assume wherever we end up eating pizza tonight it will be BYOB? Or was the plan to just buy a bunch of beer and have people throw in for what they drink as I would guess we are doing with the pizza?

mmmm, i really want buff chicken right now. only 1.5 hours till lunch. I can't decide if I should get a buff chicken sub to hold me over or wait it out till tonight.

And either place works fine for me. Kinda interesting, Anthony's is almost exactly 45 min from work to his place and 45 min from his place to home. Colin's is almost exactly 30 min from work to his place and 30 min from his place to home. Both are (directly or indirectly) 1/2 way between work and home for me :dunno: I guess I find useless things interesting.

edit: and every couple min I keep smelling gear oil. I'm fairly certain I must have been wearing the sleeveless shirt I have on under my polo while I was working on my buddy's miata on Sunday  (and yes it has been washed since working on the car). Makes me want to go home and wrench. My UJ t-shirt still smells like gear oil from when I changed hte diff fluid and other stuff and it has been washed at least 3 times since then. It will be soaked in simple green one of these days I think.

Yeah that really sucks... and WTF old people are strange.

Replaced the whole exhaust system on a '92 last night, finished around midnight then spent an hour or two reattaching the drivetrain to the 96. Only things left are:
* new oil filter - I brutalized the one that's on there wrestling the engine past the motor mounts, and it's way overdue for a change anyways
* front o2 sensor has to be replaced because I forgot the connector gets clipped to the oil pan and gave the exhaust a good solid kick trying to get it off the manifold while removing the engine  2-piece o2 sensors don't work very well
* gotta reconnect the starter motor cable, leaving this for last so I don't start it after forgetting something
* belts and random junk, reinstall front clip, air filter housing, tranny cooler lines, connect rear O2 sensor, radiator, rear driveshaft, etc
* WTF, gotta shift the whole drivetrain 1/2" forward to get the damn tranny mount to fit into the crossmember :flamemad:

Either Anthony's place or Colin's place works for me.

I bought one 12 pack of blue moon for community use. I'll pick up another one and people can pay me back for both pizza and beer. If you want something else feel free to bring it.

I guess maybe I'll grab a couple 2L's of soder too.

Colin and I just spoke on the phone. Rather than changing plans and no one seems to care either way, we'll just keep it at my place.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

damnit, the one thursday I am actually super busy is the day the guy comes in to do pre-approvals. Looks like I will have to free up a while after lunch to go talk to him. Hopefully I have a pay stub with me so I remember how much I have that incase he needs it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just had philly steak mac and cheese for lunch. it was quite awesome. The mortgage guy was busy so I guess I will have to try and catch him later this afternoon before he leaves. Fawk.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I had a small lunch intentionally.
