Don't burn yourself out, it sucks. Do they give you any vacation? If they don't, they better be paying you overtime / hourly instead of salary, they're slave driving you right now.

nope, sadly i'm paid salary. after 6 months i'll get vacation. the eqiupment operators make hourly / overtime. so yeah i'm sorta getting screwed right now on pay, but its still a job, i like it, and at least with 18 hour shifts, when i'm off i have enough time to sleep well, get some shit done, and whatever else. there is often plenty of time to sleep on site too. the way i figure it too is, that i'm still being paid pretty well to learn a brand new field, i get to travel a lot, etc etc. once i'm the actual engineer on the jobs i'll have my own truck, job bonueses, etc etc. i'm also paying like nothing in expenses and food and shit in the field is paid for

X2, and that's a pretty good price.

Just checked online and the 11.00-20 tires the massivemobile has on it are 42s or 43s or so... wow.

Now I really want to put 54 inch super singles on it.

sahweet. I'm picking up a new-to-me gun safe tomorrow morning :woohoo: It's relatively small, but I figure eventually I'll just use it to house ammo and handguns, and get a bigger safe for the rifles/shotguns :thumbup:

i think the last set of floaters we got cost right around 1500 for 2. that was for a 22.5x12" rim the rims arent cheap either

the guy I bought the 5ton off of picked up a set for (I think) a hundred bucks a whack, ON DEUCE RIMS, just before he showed up to sell the truck to me.

Had probably 75% tread left. I'm fairly certain he got em as military takeoffs from SOMETHING, no idea what.

that's an understatement... I could just about cover a single lug with my hand. I immediately liked the look of them...

I would never put something that goofy huge on an XJ, but on a 5ton when it'll give me a ~28% increase in road speed? Sign me up.

Clearly I wouldn't get quite that much, probably more like 14%, since I'd be undergeared, but it might even make 1st gear go more than a couple miles an hour at redline.

Probably will, but still, I'm going to put that off for as long as possible. Even at his prices, 49" 14.00-20s would cost me literally as much as the truck did.

EDIT: that is, if I decide that 54s are too tall and will make it too much of a dog on the highway.
