I'd be going if I wasn't picking up a new rig.
picked this up today. rolls over the few cracks in my floor just fine. the wheels are large enough. totally worth the $20.I go back and forth with creepers.
You can't be on one and try to put leverage into anything...you just roll. It's annoying and funny at the same time.
Grab the extension bar or wrench head or whatever with your other hand. It's good to do this anyways, helps put more even, on-axis torque on instead of twisting sideways and rounding things off, at least for me. If you need both arms, use a longer cheater bar or brace with your knee instead of other hand.I go back and forth with creepers.

Yeah they're fairly terrible. Did you learn stick first or what? I've heard it's harder, I was spitting some pretty ugly boogers with mine before I blew it up and got my fluxcore. Might give stick another try if I can find one for uber cheap, now that I've got Ken's Ghetto Garage going in the construction site parking lot right outside my window and can weld again.picked this up today. rolls over the few cracks in my floor just fine. the wheels are large enough. totally worth the $20.
Ken, i'll be returning those long vise grips tomorrow. They suck.
Looks like I sold my other camera lens on craigslist. That was quick...
I started making doubler parts... and screwed up the clocking ring. Had to fill in 3 of the holes  But ohmahgawd i <3 drill press, lube, and sharp HSS drill bits. cuts sooo nice. And, I think I've decided I'm better at stick welding than mig. Maybe I'm not, maybe it's the 220V vs 110V. If anyone decides to take up stick welding, look into 6013 rods. They're awesome for clean metals.
I still gotta stop and talk to the folks on the way home from work about the 'cuda thats been sitting in their yard all summer. I see cars come and go from that house so often I wouldn't be surprised if they are going to try and unload it sooner or later. I did see paper on the windshield today (facing away from the road) so maybe soon? I'm keeping an eye on that one, I kinda want even though it clearly needs a lot of work.Selling the stupid chevy means it has to drive properly first
selling the stupid chevy also = me buying a truck (most likely) or another project muscle car to play with (READ: 1968 MOPAR .!..!.)
:thumbup:OMG!!! so that just made me remember something. a certain built small block ford will be installed into a certain 66 mustang very soon (if all goes according to plan)
I can't say I am surprised with how much oil it takes, but still just hearing that number is a 'god damn' type of thing :laugh3:. And same with the diff lube, would def spend the $$ and buy it in bulk. I almost tried to find somewhere to buy 5 gallons for the XJ so I can swap frequently (once I start wheeling, if everBought oil for it too, that really hurt, it takes 22 quarts of 15w40 for a full change.
Next I think I'll tackle replacing the hoses on the wiper cylinders and maybe change the diff lube... Probably going to end up buying that in 5 gallon pails.

So I just realized theres approximately no chance of me showing up with the XJ tomorrow. Last night I completely forgot that I snapped a steering box bolt and I highly doubt I will be getting that out tonight.

x2.Do you have the stock spacer? If you do, do you have another one?
Did it snap off flush with the spacer?
If all the above is true, you can crumble the spacer around the bolt with a hammer/chisel and take it out with a pair of vice grips. Heat would help as well.
That's an easy fix.
