anyone wanna guess how long the trans line will stay hooked up to the rad on the 98? i just cut off the quick conct, slipped the hose on and clamped it, XXXX buble flares

It will stay fine, double hose clamp it if you're worried.

I can't believe people actually have to guess what transfer case Travis has..

yeah no kidding, I already said that to get twin sticks I just used a splitting maul ON MY 231. 231, DAMNIT!

what does everyone think of going to a 20w50 oil to quiet this motor, it aint bad but i want a quiet dd, i guess i could go with a 15w40 diesel but i dislike detergents, i dont want my motors clean, all the crap keeps em together on the rev limiter

Stupid idea, running oil that is harder to pump is not going to quiet an engine.

Try some Restore, it's one additive that I've heard really good things about. AFAIK MMO only claims to clean the engine and in my experience burns off pretty quickly.

I had wicked valve tick in my VW with 10w 30 untill today when I changed it with 15w 40. But VW also recommends that for their engines.

i put a can of Restore in with some 15W-40 in the nova. it didnt help oil pressure and it sounds much unhappier now. totally dropped the ball on me, i had high hopes

i guess you didnt get the scarcasm:nono: mmo is the shit i used with the oil change the nite i blew up the last motor, ill no longer mess with oil additives as i see it nothing in a can will shut up a 203k motor only a rebuild will

im considering tryin rotella 15w40 for the next change, aint like i got much to loose, i may just see how many 4.0's i can blow up this year
