THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hope you realize that that is not from a Grand Wagoneer, and that axle you posted the link to is a passenger drop low pinion axle. I actually have one of those axles with 3.07 ratio sitting under my deck right now.
I saw the pumkin on the driver's side and the pinion up high. Didnt realize it was upside down.:anon:

don't you already have a Jeep that's nearly identical to this one?
No, this one has the better transmission.

Yes, but mine has the better transmission

Edit: but my interior is not mint (actually most of the interior is non-existent), mine has no power options, and it cost me a lot more when I bought it... and it's not an unstoppable offroad monster... yet

.!.:D.!.

And with that... damnit, the Jeep I was going to buy a while back is now even cheaper! http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/1736735319.html Anyone got a spare (good) AX-15 laying around that they want to sell?

Scott if you're not going to look at that I will. It's legit 20 minutes from me tops. And I'm in that town all the time anyways.

There is one in Worcester, it's centrally located with regard to most people here :eyes:

It's right across the road from the Denny's my crew usually hits up late on Tuesdays, but I am tiring of Denny's and its effects on me.

http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1032173 if you haven't already, vote for Rob... he's down by 6 and the poll closes tonight!

You saying you will look at it for me? Or that you will look at it for you if I don't go to look at it? :D

Sounds like Sam's is getting yet another MJ... a little bird told me

No idea if the little bird is correct, but I am gonna keep my eyes open.

EDIT: Colin, I'll yank the slider window for you if it's got one. Rob (nhrocker) - want me to grab bucket seats + brackets if it has them?

Also, Colin, that small connector I cut off the 2.5 ECU harness had all the wires leading to the engine compartment section of the harness so yeah it was completely unneccessary for you. Guess you were right!

If you decide not to, LMK and I will. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal. I would love to destroy it and put an AW4 in it!

Will do. This really sucks though, I won't be able to get up and look at it until AT LEAST Friday night, and I am out wheeling all wkend so if I can't get up there on Friday it won't be until Sunday night or next week that I can go take a look at it. I will have to give a call on it later.

Maybe I will try to get my brother or friend to give me a ride up there on saturday morning and then show up at the trail with a Jeep if I buy it :D That would be awesome, except I would only legally be able to drive it to the trail and not home since you can only drive with a bill of sale for 24 hours IIRC and I wouldn't be heading home until Sunday

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah I figured as much. Good luck with it!
It's gonna be FUN! I'm gonna use the old fuel pump out of my XJ's original tank, which sat on my back porch in the rain for 6 months and in my room dry for another 6 months (and hope that it doesn't croak the second I plug it into power) and maybe regulate it down to the right pressure though I think the fuel pressure regulator on the throttle body might do that for me. Wiring up the harness is gonna be a lot of fun... think I'll spend Friday night with my '88 FSM, a soldering iron, heatshrink, zipties, and a crate of beer...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hmmm, I just reviewed my earlier emails with that guy about the Jeep and he said he had new clutch, throwout bearing, input bearing, flywheel, etc installed recently. Apparently the p.o. had the clutch done but did a halfassed job of it and the input bearing went out recently so he did everything... including swap the trans fluid and now suddenly it has synchro noises. He did say he used GL-3 in the trans but now I am skeptical... wonder if he fawked it up with something else. :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Side note, who is in the Boxborough area? I'ma be there around 6ish tomorrow night if anyone wants to meet up and grab a grinder.
ME ME ME!!!
Oh wait...

We have 4 more days to enter the 24 Hours of Lemons race in CT... guess it's probably not happening?
I was going to do it, untill I read their current rules. With the money I would have to put into my car to meet all their requirements, I could take the car and run it at my local racetrack every weekend. The entry fee would actually get me through most of the season at the track too.

This fall at the end of racing season, I will keep my eyes open for someone selling off a race car that fits the description for a decent price, and maybe enter that.
For now I will just stick to the figure 8 races at the fairs
