Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

oh hai last homework ever for my internal combustion engines class. i'm calculating the heat transferred to a turbocharger's intercooler right now. whattup actually learning things
would you perhaps want to help design a jet engine :gee:

right now the design is "we have this junk sitting here, we have a welder, let us attempt to create a working jet engine" and surprisingly it actually worked... I'm afraid of what will happen with the e450 turbos involved.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It's unlikely to be in running condition till the middle of May or so, but you're more than welcome to. Right now it's in a pile in the corner of the garage, if all goes well it'll be prominently featured on the front porch of a house in Southbridge a month from now.

The neighbors are gonna hate us...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just called BAP and they said they don't have the Grand Wagoneer. Not sure if they scrapped it already or not?

Sorry man, I know for fact it was there Sunday, was poking around/drooling on it. They dont seem like the brightest bulbs there so it may still be worth the trip if you have time to kill. Really hope they didnt just crunch it. :(

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Adam is kind enough to stop and look at some tan leather heated power WJ seats for me today.

Thanks buddy

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just can't wait for this semester to be over.

I think I might take some time off the first week of May depending on where this project at work is at. I won't have to focus on homework that week so I'll actually be able to do whatever I want (aka welding and working on the XJ/MJ).

your struggle to keep your head down and grind through your HW is why i'm glad i decided to put off doing my master's.

do it! If you need people to cut things up and drill holes in things that don't need holes, give me a ring.

The way things are looking I will almost certainly be taking some time off in the second half of May. I just hope the offer gets accepted... I have no real plans for what to do if it doesn't, aside from panic and find an apartment to rent month to month for a while.

Likewise. I probably should have done the 5 year BS/MS program WPI offers, but I had senioritis going into freshman year of highschool and never really kicked it, it would have ended badly.

x2

Though I have been reconsidering lately, I would love to be doing something more technical than the more engineering/business hybrid job I have now... so grad school is starting to look better and better.

My problem is that I really don't feel like I've learned much at all in this curriculum.

Other than the computer security class I'm taking now, most of it has just been garbage.

Hopefully the service-oriented architecture class next semester will be interesting.

And honestly, if I hadn't done it now, I know I'd never get to it. If I don't force myself through it now I won't have the willpower to go back to school. Once you get your life situated in a certain way, it's INCREDIBLY hard to change it.

Unless you plan on going back to school full-time, it's going to suck no matter what.
