Fawk. I hate having a rare motorcycle as much as I love it.. Finding replacement fenders is a PITA esp trying to find one in the same color as mine. :banghead:

That is actually somewhat tempting :laugh3:

But I am going one of two routes with this bike, either all original or original with subtle mods. And I consider swapping the 700cc engine out to a 1000cc engine a subtle mode Just because it doesn't change the look of the bike much (if at all).

I should really tear my 2 bikes down soon. tear the XT apart, wire brush and paint the engine and just about everything else. Rewire everything. Just give it a complete once over. Then the FZX I gotta fix the rear fender (it just needs the body clip fixed, I got spare sheet metal. Should be able to get it fixed). Then clean out the carbs and balance them. Then that should be 100% again. Maybe new air filters (make sure I didn't happen to get a mouse nest in there). I think I will be bringing the XJ to every trail ride this summer. Then I will have decisions and a spare ride incase I break the Jeep early on in the day

Blue is good but it wasn't worth the extra $$. If someone offers me a glass of blue I will take it. But buying for myself to enjoy on any random night of the week like tonight; gold is enough.

Plus I was buying 200ml bottles of gold for $11; the 200ml bottles of blue were $25-$30 I think. I could have bought the blue but decided my money would be better spent elsewhere (plus I was still unemployed when I spent over $100 on whisky so the extra money was hard to come by; I just coulnd't pass up that deal.)

That's not a bad deal at all. The big 750 ml bottle of blue is somewhere around the $200 price range normally. I let my buddy buy them because I'd never be able to afford em. He's got 2 750's of it sitting at his house right now.

Yikes, you guys like the expensive stuff. My favorite whiskey is $12 for a 750 (Georgia Moon Shine On Corn Whiskey), others are $45 for a 1.75 (JD), 27 for a 1.75 (Jim Beam)...

I don't drink the expensive stuff on a normal basis. Most of the time I enjoy JD or Jim if I'm in a whiskey mood. Otherwise it's beer.
