THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

A good rule of thumb for thread engagement is you want 1.5 to 2x the diameter.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just got really confused because the question said the bar was infinite length, and the length was a variable in the equation.

Oh right right right gotcha:read:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

while on the hardware topic, i noticed my 60 & 14b ruffstuff covers came with shorter countersunk bolts then what is on my 30 & 8.25 now. the bolts i recieved only thread into the housing about a 1/4-5/16" whereas the other ones go about 1/2" in. i dont like this.

The diff covers are beefy enough, so just weld around the edge and no more worries.

as long as you get 3 or 4 threads fully in you should be fine. if you're still worried about them, put a little loctite on the threads when installing it and they won't vibrate loose at all

thats right, i knew it was something like that but i couldnt remember. i guess ill order some more from grainger at some point. theyll work fine for now for mock up and everything.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

what's the thread size of the bolts, ross?

in other news, my grandfather told me that someday I can have his lathe and tooling. it's pretty small and old. but a small lathe is better than no lathe. and tooling is better than no tooling.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i dunno. but it sure does.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ohhh GOOD PLAN! And I'm going to look at that truck at 12 :D I figure why drag my feet, right?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yep, don't you worry. I'll be pissed if I get it and then I'm stuck with that ratty-ass bench seat. So I'm holding you to it with the bucket-promise. haha
