It isn't? I must be confused about how they measure it, I thought it was measured for the thickness of the base plate not including the height of the ridges.diamond plate isnt as strong as steel plate of same thickness
Agreed, though there is no chance I'm going to 44s or 60s ever, I would rather overkill once and never worry about it than build something "good enough" and then have to fix it a few times.i think its more a matter of since youre gunna be dropping the coin to build the axle, you might as well just do a 60. Yes, the 44 would probably be enough for many of us but buildin a 60 is just good insurance. id much rather overkill it the first time around and not have to worry about it and have the ability to upgrade tire size without hesitation.
