Sexy. What needs to be done by the 30th?

New transmission/t-case, new control arms f/r, brakelines, get rid of the POS dana 35, swap the 8.8 in, hope to god nothing else falls apart on this POS.

If you cant tell im pretty frustrated with it. The PO was not honest with me.

shit luck there man. It looks clean though, i'd much rather build that if i had the money to step up to a tj. I'm getting really sick of unibodies.

That's exactly how I feel about the XJ I have now. Granted, I wasn't as knowledgeable as I am now, but you would think someone would disclose things for the price they ask.

Well i pulled an 8.8 with discs from the PNP for 100 bucks. Gonna throw that in hopefully next week when the brackets come in. My R&P are shot in the 35. If anybody wants a dana 35 detroit locker and upgraded shafts let me know..

Gonna stick with short arms for now as well. Just dont have the money for LA's yet.

Front end buttoned up. Gonna put my new Currie arms on this week. A buddy is helping me rebuild the t-case because the hack-n-tap was put on wrong. 8.8 should be built within the next week or so. Sliders still need to go on. Would love to get an oil pan skid before my Rubicon Trip in August.

Man, that looks good. I found a guy that is willing to sell me his TJ. It's got a good start on a build, but the problem is it is red. Not sure I can handle another red Jeep.

So overall, how do you like the ride of the Wrangler?

When u going to the con?

Aww cmon Kelly, thats your signature color! The ride of the wrangler is a different animal. Have a short wheelbase makes it nice for tight spaces, its a little bumpy but then again my shocks kinda suck. Havent taken it offroad yet. Gonna find out how well she crawls this weekend on SR/DV. So ill report back you after that.

No doors... AMAZING! :laugh3:

Broke my dana 35 on the stair stepper on slickrock... Dana35 + detoit + 35's = All bad!

I think Kevin saw it... or at least heard it. Other then the break, Slickrock was a fun trail as always.. kinda bummed I missed Deer Valley though. Ill post pictures up tomorrow!

WoW, Get some pic's up. Did you make it out ok?

Heres the story:
Got to the top of the stair stepper obstacle on slickrock.. Attempted the hard line a few times. Driver rear got bound up against a rock (Dana 35 + Stock shafts + Detroit + 35's = broken shaft). Took us a while to get it off the obstacle. Then I frantically made phone calls to find another shaft cause i didnt carry a spare : Ended up having to drive to Reno for a new shaft. WJchris watch my Jeep while i was gone so it didnt get messed with by some a-hole who was getting irritated with the break. Got back from Reno about 1am. Went to bed, woke up, went back out to the jeep. Fixed it by 4:30. Back at camp by 5. Home by 9ish. I didnt really take pictures cause i was pretty stressed and that was the last thing on my mind.

Breaking an axle on my DD is one of my worst nighmares. Well, that and huge hairy spiders, women by the name of Helga, and camping with a bunch of Toyota drivers, but you get my drift. Good job on the trail fix.

Ha, that's funny. My wife has a coworker who ran Slickrock this weekend and he said someone broke a D35, with a Detroit, on 35s, without a spare. Then the guy had to ride in a Toyota up to Reno to get a spare shaft.
