So in the past month or so I've been slowly collecting parts.
Got my RE 4.5" coils from Serious (who's price was great and shipping was very fast), used brakelines, and swaybar disconnects .
My IRO double shear trackbar is on the way, and the next paycheck will see LCA's and UCA's (still undecided here). Add leafs, shocks, and bumps and I'm good to go. (right?)
Now I have question on the shocks. I've read the that best way to determine shock length is to install the suspension and then measure. Due to my rather limited experience and tools, Knucklhead and graciously offered the use of the Fun Factory to help install the lift. The problem is that he is about 50 miles south of me.
So it seems my options are to install the lift and then drive back without shocks, order shocks based on standard or 'recommended' lengths, or install everything at home.
Can the stock shocks still be used to get me home, or will the geometry just not work?
Also, I've been eyeing blondjon's t-case/SYE he has for sale. I currently have the Np242 which I like for snow driving, but this seems like a really good deal as a spare, and also insurance if I want to go bigger as 242 SYE options are very limited. Thoughts?
Thanks for all your help and input!
