I see this is a week old--did you do it yet? How'd it go?
I did mine a couple years ago. I didn't find it as daunting as folks say. Had it done over a weekend. The biggest PIA for me was having the system discharged and recharged. Stay organized and take your time.
Also, I bit the bullet and spent the $400 on an OEM core. Didn't want to cheap out and risk having to do it again in six months.
