Thanksgiving weekend wheeling in Southern MO and NE Oklahoma???

If I am not in the field harvesting I am wanting to go down to my folks place for Thanksgiving and do some wheeling while I am down there. I am wanting to hit SMORR Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch (google it) and possibly Disney, Oklahoma again. Disney was blast and it has some very aggressive wheeling and rocks. SMORR has a variety of terrain according to their site, it was described to me as a mini Superlift park like in Hot Springs. I am going to plan on being available from the Friday after Thanksgiving through the following Monday at the least. We are talking about hitting up SMORR on Saturday and possibly Sunday. Disney is still a maybe at this point.

If anyone is interested in going let me know. Me and a local wheeling buddy are planning on the Saturday trip for sure (weather permitting) and will alter plans as needed.

I won't be able to make it but you may want to check on disney. With all the rain we have had they have had the gates open for a while. If they are open it really limits what you can do or where you can go.

SMORR is just awesome! One day is not enough, we went for the TLCA event a few weeks back and hit almost every trail in 3 full days and 2 nights of wheeling. I would join but I'm holding miobi's 3rd annual Turkey Run that sat-sunday for members only.

I thought about it and think you should just do the two days at SMORR, once you do one day you'll want to stay. Just make sure they are open for wheeling that weekend.

Will do Josh. SMORR should only be an extra hour or so for ya if you want to try out a new place. Right now I am trying to see what days will work with the other guy that is coming down to meet me from back home. I know I am free Friday, Saturday and Sunday for sure.

I'll be coming down I35 to 435 to 71 and heading on south to Joplin, so we could meet up along the way somewhere Wednesday evening...probably a gas station seeing how my truck gets about 8-9 MPG while fully loaded!

Yeah I'm not so good at that IF you haven't noticed. I'm going to try to drop a new engine and trans in mine by then so I actually have a decent sounding engine with a locking torque converter, if that has happened, I'll be there.

Cool Blake, We are now leaning towards going to SMORR rather then Disney. Thinking about Friday afternoon, Staurday and maybe Sunday morning at SMORR. According to their site they are having the After Turkey Run Fri-Sun. I have off through that following Tuesday, but may have to get back and cut beans and corn if it has dried out by then....
