K, so I've been working with a customer for a little while now who is putting a chevy 350, TH400, and a NP205 in his jeep. He liked the 3 and 4-link setup so Im working on a custom cross member for him. It proved to be a little more difficult to design up then my standard crossmember do to the huge size of the 205 t case vs the 231. I dont know if this is the exact right place to post this but here is what I got designed out so far. Let me know what you think guys.

This was all designed from pictures emailed to me from the customer with specific dinensions drawn on them.

Having a 205 in jeep I would not do it again. AS for the cross member I think it looks good but its hard to tell without the jeep and how much it hangs below it for a reference. If the 205 is clocked up it will eat a lot of the area around the front of the passanger seat. does the center section come out for easy access to the transmission/tcase?

I know, that thing is huge and I was trying to figure out why you would even go that route but hey, I dont argue with the customer. lol It is actually not clocked either, hangs 4" below the frame rails when the tranny mount is level with the bottom of the rails! The center section does indeed come out just like the rest of my crossmembers.

I had one given to me. Then I found out a Dodge 203 has the same input as the 231.... and it was all down hill form there! :banghead:

Maybe read up on Frank Z 's GM V8 swap. Him and John D both used a driver drop t-case

Looks like the crossmember is just plate with a 45 degree lip on either end. Doesn't look particularly stiff, especially for a heavy transmission and transfer case. And suspension mounts.

Havent had any issues with it for the couple years I've been running my setup. I've even came down on it extremely hard with the whole weight of the Jeep. No deformation.
