Um, well, there's a sprial springy spring on the front of the clutch. It has a 90 degree bend and then is usally held down by some sort of metal piece with a slice in the middle to accomodate the spring's 90 degree bend.
So You remove it from the slice in the metal and twist it counter-clockwise apparently. Then secure it back in the slice.

DO NOT OPERATE THE ENGINE UNTIL THE FAN HAS BEEN FIRST CHECKED FOR POSSIBLE CRACKS AND SEPARATIONS.
To check the clutch fan, disconnect the bimetal spring and rotate it 90degrees counterclockwise. This disables the temperature-controlled, free-wheeling feature and the clutch performs like a conventional fan. If this cures the overheating condition, replace the clutch fan.
this is from the factory service manual. they don't exactly show/say what to do once it's rotated 90degrees, but i'm sure it's self explanatory once you do it. I'll actually be doing that to mine one of these days when i feel like it. i think my fan clutch is also going bad.
