My dad works for a company affiliated with Tesla, and when we were in socal I got to ride in one.

All I can say is that these things are fast as hell. 0-60 in under 4 seconds. No shifting, just constant and instantaneous power. No power bands to worry about, just lay on the throttle and in no time your flying. All without a single drop of gas. The thing handled amazing too. Just wish I had the 100k+ to have one :D

Neat!
I don't think I could ever get used to that one particular sound missing though.... ;)
Any shots of the internal goodies?

You forgot to mention the coolest part...an electric with a 200 mile range! I would love to have one but yeah, $100k is just a bit out of my range.

I didn't take any, they're some on their site though.

It was a trip for sure. You had to be really careful walking in that alleyway because you can't hear it coming at all.

I can't remember for sure, but I believe the power supply (battery pack), the motor controller, and re motor set up, were all designed by a guy in WA state. His name escapes me at the moment, buy I know the guy I am thinking of also did the design work for the electric power system for the electric Impala that Jesse James built on Monster Garage. If you hunt down the episode and watch it they tell you his name and the name of his company in WA. It's near Kent, WA. Not sure if that will help at all, buy it may lead you to where you can track down the info on how much a battery will run you.

I'll take a Lotus Elise for 30k please! The Tesla is cool but i just don't see myself paying 100k for one :D

I just like the idea of not buying gas. Drive it to work, run an extension cord out to it and do my charging there...:D
