TDS

The notches were full of retards again(surprise surprise). The number of idiots I saw throwing trash and cans on the ground everywhere was just unbelievable.

+1, some people are pigs.

We drove over the the notches Sat. afternoon for a very brief visit, based on most of the flags that were flying I will now call it "Los Notch'es"

The most interesting thing we saw was an Army tank.

During the event run Sat. A.M., a guy in our group with an old YJ had to stop for a small repair, we were then passed by a stock Geo Tracker. :bawl:
Later, another YJ tore a shackle mount off the frame rail, we strapped that up at he limped back to the booth area where Ruff Stuff welded on a new hanger for no charge. Kudos to them.

All in all a good trip, would have traded rain for dust though.

one possible two fatalitys in the white xj that rolled at the notches sat morn. saw some vid of it, pretty sad. sat evening i guess the rangers were trying hard to crack down on the drinking.

Yep, I saw the Toyota guy that rolled down in the notches, and saw the heli landing sat morning too...
Sunday morning at about 6 am the old lady and I went down to the notches do do a lil clean up... there was just too much shit to get it all but we filled 2 13 gal trash bags.
TDS has become a tradition for us but we might have to break that after this years asshattery.

Saturday evening we went to the arco, on the way baxk saw 2 accidents... one on North Marina that looked like maybe a vw sandrail type buggy and a pickup truck and another on the side street paralleling the 86

I was really bummed to miss this but I have to say the shenanigans in the notches is getting too much for comfort. Too much drinking and people being idiots. Still love the other obstacles scattered throughout the area though. I hope I can make Kayle's charity run this year, I was crushed I could not make the last one.

Yup, when I heard TDS was coming up, I thought to myself "I wonder how many people are going to die this year." For the past several years it's been one or two. Not trying to comment on ass hattery, accidents happen, but a lot of the times it could have been prevent (cough, seat belt, cough, getting out and looking when you can't see down the other side of a hill when you're driving at night out there–no thanks).

John I do hope you can make it this year, at least none of the really bad accidents happen at the actual event or on the event sponsored Run. Jay a few people from our camp went back to the notches Sunday around noon filled up a couple trash bags as well thanks for what you were able to do.

Thank you both...

It amazes me. These idiots don't realize that the harm they are doing affects all of us.
