HAHAHA!!! your bud was on my back bumper??? all I know is once the tires started biting I gased it went for it. I only thought the drunk fat dude was back there :wierd:

BTW... if anyones got some pics of that (or video)... post em up or send em to me. That was fun!


Note: poor door and quarter panel. oh well, planning 'trimming' those off anyhow

My buddy got launched off your bumper when you finally got traction. Your XJ was bouncing pretty good when someone yelled "Ride em Cowboy", so he does this 1 handed bull ride while you teetered back and forth. When you hooked up he went flying. He landed on the top of the ridge with the crowd, then lost his balance and fell down into the pit landing on his feet. :guitar:

Did you think the crowd was cheering for you?


There were professional camera dudes there. Someone has some awesome video.

The guy behind me tipped his YJ on the side, then drove on it till he righted again and went down the chute.
 
I saw that... his wife didnt look very impressed with the "Drive it out! Drive it out!"

Id love to see some pics of my junk in that nook...didnt think Id ever make it out
 
What I liked the most about this years TDS was......
I went with the Just Runs group, lead by a shortie..I made a comment about how bad a Wrangler climbs compaired to an XJ. He promised to get me hi-centered to prove his point....we (four or so XJs) out did ourselfs with some great driving and no...not one of us came close to Hi-C!!
Okay....Shionas (sp?) rig did bend a drag link pretty bad...but none of us needed any explosives to reseat a tire bead!! (ask Tim about that one!)

I had lots of fun this past weekend. I think. Left thursday night and got 35 miles from el cajon and blew the outer tranny seal. :rattle: So friday I dropped the tranny and replaced the seal and made it out there by midnight. :laugh3: i debeaded a tire this weekend and trashed my steering gear. thats two gears in two years not to bad. im glad my wife totaled the 96 last month lots of extra parts. anyone else have any tds tales.
 
I had a great time loved the weather. There were no lines on the main run, started at 8 was done by 12 then back to camp for lunch and then out to play. Took the family truckster to the crack and followed some big dawgs though with them throughing dirt everywere and I just crused on though not sure why everyone was standing around watching instead of doing, when that got boring we went to the top of the bluff and played on the back side until time for raffle. Of coarse did not win anything again 9 years and running. Maybe I will get somthing for my 10 year. Only damage was fenders from not trimming enough. Time for fiberglass.
