I've read your write-up on using a Stang TB instead of the F & B...

I was thinking of a 68mm for the 4.7 and looking thru ebay I found a few of these 70mm...

yeah if you have any questions about this lemme know and I'll try and help ya out since I've been there already:D

adapting the TB itself is pretty simple, im running a 73mm SHO TB, i set it up the same way dyno did (redrilling), but in the end i needed a spacer to make it fit. ill post pics if youd like

73mm throttle body went on today (its not quite done yet, have some more holes to plug and such)

the manifold hole had to be enlarged almost 10mm!

How does the throttle cable open up the butterfly?

it pulls the opposite way the jeep one does, so i pointed it right at the fire wall, and its one straight 18" piece of cable

another great thread is:

here you can see that I adapter the stock jeep TB cable hookup to the dodge/jeep 68mm tb. The center hole only needed to be ever so slightyl enlarged to hook up to the 68mm tb, and was already indexed correctly. Once it ws on that center tab I welded the brackets together. doing it this way you will also need to pull the throttle cable nipple on this bracket and mount it on the other side of the bracket so it will not hit.

edit oh and with this dodge/jeep tb you also need to make a hole for the idle air to flow, which is easy I just milled off the wall area on the TB

does anyone know if other years of mustang tb's can be used easily? it seems that the ones i find for sale are for newer stangs

also, tps

any know interchangability?

where is the best place to get them?

i used the SHO tps, they all work the same way, same 0-5v, i just hacked the connector off the harness and spliced it into mine

so now ive got a 70mm stang tb, what are you using for intake tubing?
