Sorry I haven't had time to tell you all about my latest trade. Been busy taking my child to the hospital and doctors. He's got RSV, and is now on assisted breathing through oxygen. Been just a little busy.

Yes, I traded a guy for a YJ. It's already on craigslist for sale for 4300, about 1,700 bux more than what I bought the Xj for from Troy...

Why did I do it? Simple flip and sell. I had a Xj with 189k on it and a major rear main seal issue, and a death wobble gremlin that I have neither the time or money to hunt down at the moment. I'm turning water into wine... Taking my 2600 dollar Cherokee and getting 4300 out of it to buy a nice truck or a pre built Xj with a rack. I simply do not have the time or money to build anything right now.

black crawler wheels
hand throttle
hedman headers
pacesetter exaust system
2" throttle body spacer
cold air intake
new tranny with reciept
new clutch with reciept

only 117k
2.5L. But takes monument hill at 80mph on 31's no problem.

Personally, it's not bad but def not practical. I have all reciepts and bill of sale from 2006 that states the guy paid 8600 for it. I figured someone else would want it in trade for a truck more than my Xj. I also figured I could prob get about 4300 for a YJ with 117K faster than I could get it for a Xj with 189k.

Make sense? Has nothing to do wanting another wrangler, and if I did I would have held out for a TJ. Just want to make some money, or trade for a good truck for work.

Now back to the highschool girl gossip hour. Take it Troy! ;P

And chris. I put the new stabilizer on the Xj that night and the steering felt like I was turning 2 flat tires. Tightened it up so much that I could barely turn the wheel...... ??? DW was still there to. The guy I traded it to loves it though. He wants to become a naxja member after all the stories I told him about the Colorado chapter ;). So, it's in good hands and he's got the money to fix the wobble and the rear main seal. We climbed under it with a flashlight and saw something spinning (shiny metal) between where the oil pan is and where the tranny meets the engine. It was also dripping oil about a drop a minute. Checked the dipstick and it was low so I must have been losing alot. Not something I had the time or money to fix.

I got 60 day temps for the YJ today, so it must be sold or traded before then.

I feel for ya Surf....... RSV is scary. My nephew had it when he was 3 or so..... My sister lost a lot of sleep for nearly a month, stressing about him choking on the crud in his sleep. Poor kid just sounded like he was completely drowning in goo......

Yep. I'm functioning on about 30 mins of sleep in the last 2 days. Doctors say it could take up to 3 weeks till his cough resides. Till they see improvement, it's daily trips to the doctor and having a resperitory therapist come to the house. It sucks because he cannot go back into day care till his cough is cleared up which could be weeks. Karen just started her new job and can't get time off, so Im having to shut business down till he gets better so I can be home with him. My mom is flying out from Virginia tomorrow for a few days to give us a break so we can get at least one nights sleep. We will probably end up having to ask my parents to help us out with bills until he gets better. One thing after another. Just hoping my little guy gets better soon. It's like a knife in my chest everytime I hear him struggle to breathe.

RSV is a bitch, man - you're doing all the right things. Who is your Ped? I'll refer you to ours in HR/Lonetree if you want someone else to take a look at the boy. Let us know if we can help with anything.

hey how soon do u need a truck. a better way to get a actually really nice truck is go down to an inpound auction. they have one today. put it already started the nexted best one wont be for another 2 weeks. but there is probably some other ones also.
 
Got a break from the insanity today and worked on the yj. Took off the stock tire carrier, nerf bars, and the huge "wrangler" decals the PO put across the hood. Went over the whole rig and was suprised to find no leaks, no weird noises, and a ton of fresh parts like the brand spanking new tranny with the stickers still on it, new alternator, new radiator, water pump. I texted a pic of it to Danny (xjnoob) and he will be posting it soon. I don't know how to post pics on my iPhone.

This things going to be a great money maker, and a great jeep for someone to enjoy.

the spare the guy had on it was even smaller than stock. looked silly and pathetic and killed the look. i figure whoever buys/trades for it will put on a beefy rear bumper with a swing out to carry a larger tire. plus i like the no spare look.

in my opinion this thing needs some 32's. the 31's on it fit alrite, but i could go a bit bigger.
