On the surface, I was disgusted by the ruling and came away from reading the article very angry. After thinking about it though, I don't know what to think. On one hand, you have the first amendment which protects our right to free speech but on the other, I am THOROUGHLY disgusted with what that "church" stands for and protests. Just thinking about what they "stand" for (or in this cast, against) starts getting me angry again. I just don't understand how these people can correlate the military with acceptance of homosexuality in the United States and decide that protesting a military funeral is the best course of action. I find it deplorable honestly. I guess they don't see that these fine men and women are doing their best to PROTECT that freedom of speech that they're wielding with such disregard.
But where is the line? Is there a defineable line?
Just thought I'd vent a little and see what everyone else's view on the subject is.
