Superstition trails.

I'll be there, mooching bitch/shotgun/whatever seat space, maybe with Alden in a tent. Having zero lockers and 235/75/15's, I'd play on the sand and the flat stuff, but I'd just hold up the group trying to run an actual TRAIL.

Sounded like Flop This, er, Jump This had some possible ideas of where the trails were... Rick, do you have any data to locate them, or do you just remember running them? Is Volleyball season over yet? Can you come down for this? C'mon...

Ray Pili is going, and he's in the San Diego 4 Wheelers (they do an anual superstition run) and he says he's done the hard trails.

FYI, my bitch seat might be taken by Ray if he can't get his Jeep going. Otherwise you're welcome to ride in mine.

Sweet. I like being your bitch =). I think Tom's going to have a seat or two free too, in case Alden goes or Ray rides; I might ride with him too. If not, he'll have the Jeep with 3 teens in it for a change! And they won't even be his own kids, so we'll see how many he comes back with...

Just to make life easier for anybody who hasn't been out there, when you're looking for Wheeler Rd, it is the 2nd Wheeler Rd. You'll see a street sign for Wheeler that goes to the right, don't go there, continue about 500 yds past that and take the Wheeler Rd to the left.

Since the 6th is my anniversary, I'm sadly not gonna be able to make it that day. I'm thinking about going out there the week after Christmas if anyone's free then.

Yea, definetly make sure you go a lil further down.

I have know a few people who have made that mistake late at night and gotten stuck in the field.

Not fun with a big motorhome while towing something.

hahaha, funny you mentioned that.

My fiance's family went out there a few weeks ago and took that turn.

Her dad is on percs because he hurt his back, he had to back their RV with a trailer in tow back to the street. Then they messed up again and ended up on the road right above the field right on the edge.

Needless to say he shouldnt have been driving, but they ended up getting out fine.

Not something you wanna try to do at night.

I have a few questions,
Do you guys have a head count for the 5th, 6th, 7th?
Would i need to be worried about breaking with 33s locked front and rear?
Are you guys doing the whole weekend?

Only reason im asking so many questions is because im 4 1/2hrs away, should i trailed down there?

thanks jesse

Breakage can occur anywhere at any time, especially on the harder trails, especially with stock axles 32" + tires, and lockers. When in doubt, tow it down.

I don't know of any head counts. But so far I know...

Kevin
Lou
Mark
Me
Ray (possibly riding with me)

Sunday is usually pack up and go. I know Kevin and Lou are heading out there Fri night.

Thanks, i think im going to try and get a Buddie to head down with me, and if we do go ill pm and get some phone numbers

jesse

You should be fine. Bring some spare front shafts.

Tom's overbuilt for this run. We should have camera's out when Kevin spots him.
