Did any of the mjs come with dual exhaust, cuz my 88 has 2 factory exhaust hangers, one on each side of the truck

Factory, no. Modified after the factory, who knows!

does the 4 cylinder and 6 cylinder exhaust exit on opposite sides? maybe it was converted at one point?

Nope its a factory 4.0

So i took a closer look and it looks like it was dual at one time but not factory, looks like the duals were cut of to put the spare back under there.

You would probably have to "Y" in before the cat then "Y" out after it. Put the O2 just before the cat(RENIX) and after the first "Y".

I'm sure there is a way to run two O2's on a RENIX just not sure how to interface them so they only give one reading to the ECU.

You can put a O2 bung anywhere you need it, just cut a hole and weld it in.

True dual? no idea where it'd be routed on the passenger side, since the gas tank is in the way. No MJ ever had passenger side exhaust to the best of my knowledge.

Maybe bore a hole in the tank and weld the pipe to it, that should work!


BTW - Jeep had a split header too, '00/'01, it had a Y pipe that attached.

Turns out it was an aftermarket hangar, gonna take it off tonight
