Stumpfest

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

Is there a list of what he needs to get done?
BA? DO YOU HAVE LIST? is this going to be a CLRUSTY kinda fix-a-thon?

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

Or, if I go, you can squeeze into the Vibe.... waiting to hear from DrRandy....

I emailed ya back...check it and let me know! Sounds interesting for sure!

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

Telling lies?
Pointing at stuff?
Making the occasional grunting noise?
Playing the XBox?
Eating pizza?
Drinking beer?
Fixin yer junk?

Doesnt matter to me.

We could have a Naxja Poker tourney at night... I have enough tables/chips/stuff for 24 people. We could also crash Tim's (Hard Struggler) place as well... hes got a KICK ASS man cave.

O hell...i'm in then!!

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

Mark (high2by), I figure since you are coming early, you could get one of the spare bed rooms... I dont really have room to set-up a camper, unless its in the street... youve been to my place, 'city' lots dont offer much in the way of a 'yard' lol.

You could remove the inner panels on the rear cargo area, so I can get behind the fender wells. I will also send you a PM to let you know what kind of steel we need, I dont have any more to do it, although I could probably get it locally if we need to. I need to get some for Destroyer's fender trim as well.

What time you think you could get there on Friday morning? I like to start early, 7am would be perfect if possible...

Other Mark, sleeping bags would be a good idea, just in case. :D

Sounds good. I knew there wasn't much room but wanted to offer just in case.

If you are gonna get metal for his, go ahead and get it for mine I'll pay you for it. As for the inside, I'll have it apart and ready.

7:00? You got it. Lets see, you're an hour ahead of me and a 4 hour drive... uh, ok, 2:00am departure time. I can swing that.

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

1. Install new bumper + hitch -- should take just a few minutes
2. Service rear diff (I can do that at home)
3. Do some brake troubleshooting; get the brake pedal stiffer/better
4. New TREs/BJs just because; I don't think they are bad
5. Track down source of weird gauge cluster readings

The main thing that I need is troubleshooting help. I need to troubleshoot why the XXXX this thing doesn't purr like a raspy kitten. I figure I can do a lot, if not everything, at home if I know what to do. :roflmao:

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

Holy crap man... you are more than welcome to come up the day/night before.

Hahahaha!!! I'll check with my better half and see plus I don't really need to take off Thursday and it would be late before I could get down there, but I'll let you know. Thanks!!

Wow, that's a tall order with Mark's trim.

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

Yeah, not sure how much we will be able to get done honestly. I have the stuff to do it all, just not sure about time.

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

Let me rephrase this:

Must do (in order of importance)
- Troubleshoot the shitty running engine
- Troubleshoot the brake system to get a better pedal feel
- Install new bumper + hitch

Other things that are on my list, but don't necessarily need to be done at Stump's
- Service rear diff
- TREs/BJs
- Troubleshoot weird gauge cluster readings

I can do most any replacement/repairs at home. I just need someone to help with the troubleshooting process. Nothing needs to be replaced or redone at Stump's (except the bumper, but that shouldn't take too long).

Plus, if there's going to be a crowd, I think there should be enough people to come over and laugh at some simple solution that I missed :D

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

Once done with mine, I can do some wrenching while you guys troubleshoot.

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

If we get enough folks there, we could do it all, and Dirks as well. Just gotta actually work and keep the BS to a minimum, or atleast do it with a wrench in hand.

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

I think we did a decent job of this when doing Rusty's junk.

Agreed. We can get alot done when we actually want to.;)

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

With the exception of the bumper, mine doesn't even involve any serious wrenching. See, I'm not difficult!

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

I can't do anything but wrench.

Re: Stump's Wrenchfest party

I have safety gloves and glasses...
