Stroker

I know this has to have been covered already. I did a search but I must be blind because I couldn’t find the answer. On a stroker can you use the 4.0 vibration damper, pulley and flex plate or do you have to use any components from the 4.2?

Are there any issues with the serpentine belt lining up?

Rod choice depends on the type of stroker you are building. I run 4.0 rods on a 4.2 crank, but the "long rod" method requires custom forged pistons or work to certain cast pistons to keep quench and CR acceptable. The only thing from the 4.2 you have to use is the crank. The vibration damper, flex plate etc will swap over without modification IF the 4.2 crank was a serpentine belt set up. If it was a v-belt you have to have a bit shaved off the crank's nose for things to line up.
