Strength of 10/12 bolt?

What are the down falls, of a 10/12 bolt, and is there any to strengthen them cheap..thanks

12 bolts and newer 10 bolts (87+?) are same size/spline shaft as a D44, but they have C-clips. They're pretty good, but nothing amazing. My friend beat the piss outta his 10 bolts with his 91 fullsize Blazer on 33s with a 350 for 2 years with no problems.

12 bolts are the same spline as a d44 but have larger shafts. 10 bolts are not as strong as a d44.

actually, 12 bolts have the same 1.31" shaft as D44s. newer 10 bolts are 30 spline just like the D44 and 12 bolt, but are 1.28" diameter
