Memo to Americans from an also-European: pay attention to the wacky crap that's going on in Europe, because I can assure you that this is the model that politicians are looking to follow here and it's not a good one. We may have our own problems here, but we're still a damned sight more free than anywhere else on the planet.
 
And the future?
If you are hoping for tropical weather in Yorkshire, think again. Scientists have found that the arctic ice-cap is melting, diluting the Atlantic ocean and disrupting the salt-water cycle that drives the Gulf Stream.

If the Gulf Stream slows we could enjoy Canadian style winters of -15C within a decade or two.

how exactualy is that global warming? seems to me that is just the opposite.

Yah - at least our pols haven't all sold their souls for power. It's been said that, "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely," but the conclusion to that thought has not been published - "Power attracts the corruptible."

I've long thought that the idea person for government service, anymore, is someone who does not want the job! Term limits should be strictly enforced as well - no retirement, and no long service.

Perhaps if we were to dismantle the Byzantine power structure in Washington, they'd stop complaining about having to "learn" it. There shouldn't be anything to "learn" - and some accountability also needs to be reinforced, since they're supposed to work for us, not the other way around...

easy on the brits... bad weather can make you crazy... and their dental plan is not so good either.

I think Global warming is a load of crap. just because Al Gore made a movie about it doesn't make it true...
There's a whole lot of scientists out there who say the Earth moves in temperature cycles. Warm for the dinos, cold to make the ice age and now its warming again. Seems I read somewhere that they have records going back 2-300 years or something of global temps and its been warming since long before cars came about.
 
those cherokee stats in that chart are for a liberty. hence the 3700 aka 3.7. in europe the liberty is badged "cherokee". therefore none of that applies to us
 
You guys should really think about the environment. I converted my jeep to biodiesel just for this reason...






























I use little baby seals, live ones as a matter of fact...they're more effecient, to make my own biodiesel. It's real easy to do and I get about 8 baby seals per mile!!!!!! You just can't beat that...:D

watched that thinking it might be funny, but after seeing it, its just sad. I feel sorry for the little guys.
