Stock Roof Rack

Hello from Chile in Southamerica!

I would like to istall a Wilderness Safari Roof Rack and suppose I need to remove at least the sliding bars from the rails. Can you give me any advise on how to remove them?

What year XJ Mike?

On most models you can remove the screw from the end piece on each rail where it screws into the roof, pull the end piece out and slide the cross-bars off. I always use the rear end pieces, they are just easier to get to.

Thanks...it will sure be the answer. It a XJ classik 4 door year 2000. (3/4 long roof rails).
