Absolutely true accept one small thing, your formula is for a resistive load, not an inductive load.

True... so I guess it would be V = omega * L * I.

Why are you checking current draw with a voltmeter? Use the proper tool for the proper job.

I didnt see anyone suggest upgrading the battery cables. Might want to upgrade the alternator if youre running alot of accessories such as high power lighting.

This issue of the dash voltmeter always reading lower than the actual battery voltage come up alot. Is there a way to rewire the dash voltmeter closer to the battery rather than somewhere downstream behind other devices like it is now?

I don't see why you couldn't but the gauge itself ain't much good.
