So my 87 jeep thats moderatly modified has steering issues...everything works fine but i just need something to bash on a little more and still drive home with. I've got the whole rustys upgraded kit thats like 250-300 bucks and in my opinion it looks nice and actually works fine for what it is. but its no where near as durable as i expected, not to mention adjusting toe sucks! i don't mind keep up on maintnavce as long as the dang tie rods don't get waxed every 5,000 miles and im constantly doing alignment jobs on the thing. anyways what are some good steering systems you guys are running? I've been thinking about converting to heims and just drilling the knuckles out but i'd rather stick with tie rods, not to mention i don't want to double stack the drag link and tie rod if i went to heims....anyone run that 1 ton over the steering knuckle upgrade from....jcr i think? Anyway ive got access to welders, plasma cutters and what not so light to heavy mods aren't a problem....i just want something i don't have to mess with you know? So if anyones been there done that or has some valid opinions id love to hear them.
