spool

just picked up my rear axle and was told it has a mini spool in it. i really dont want it and i dont know much about spool and dont like messing with diffs. how hard is it to remove a mini spool and replace stock or with a lunch box?

its a 8.8 WITH 4.88'S

It's an easy job. Some regular sockets and a torque wrench is all you need.

Im pretty sure the mini spool only replaces the spider gears inside the carrier.. SO, if you want to go back stock you'll need some spiders... if you want to do a lockright, etc. just order one but you'll also need a cross pin.
