Speedo gear

Is it worth it to replace the speedometer gear from going from a stock 28'' tire to a 29'' tire? how much of a difference is it? If it is recommended, how many teeth should it be? its a 96 xj with 3.55.

The difference in the speedometer is the same as the percentage tire size change. So 1" over 28" = 3.5%. So when you are traveling 60 mph according to your speedometer, you will actually be going 62 mph.

So I say just leave it alone.
