I have a 1982 Chevrolet K10 4x4 pickup to complement the XJ. I can't find any forum on it or help very easily. Here is the problem: The transmission is cracked at the top where it meets the transfer case. There is a square flange with four bolts about 10 by 10. I have tried everything, locktite, RTV, universal gasket, whatever, and I can't stop tranny fluid from leaking out the bottom of this flange. I don't think it is coming from the crack at the top, but I think that crack is making the meeting of surfaces weak, causing the lower two bolts to come loose and thus, the leak. Is there an easy way to fix this? What about transmission stop leak. It leaks about 1 small drop every couple of seconds while running. I figure maybe someone has some Chevy experience or even has had this problem on an XJ, so help would be great!!
