There are many references to a black 96 Jeep Cherokee.

Good song, more of a breakup type song though. Some of the lines:

i've been driving around town
with my head spinning around
everywhere i look i see
your '96 jeep cherokee

but with every jeep i see
my broken heart still skips a beat
i guess its just my stupid luck
that all of boston drives that same black fu**ing truck

but someday i'll steal your car and switch the gears
and drive that cherokee straight off this trail of tears

Copperhead

This one's older than me by far, but what can I say? I have odd musical tastes:

Little Bo Peep has Lost Her Jeep (performed by, among others, Spike Jones)

The sheet music for it (which shows the lyrics) can be seen here:

Vanilla Ice's "Prozac" has a Jeep Cherokee reference in it.

"...I'm in your grill, peep this - I got the raw deal
And in your Jeep Cherokee or Land Cruiser
When you're rolling through the hood I know you're gonna use a
Track like this all up in your eardrum
So pump the E.Q. and let the speakers hum..."

I never said it was any good but it does have Jeep in it.

[edit]I found a few more:
DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince - Summertime
ZZ Top - Groovy Little Hippie Pad
Rod Stewart - Italian Girls
Britney Spears - Outrageous
Jimmy Buffett - Frank & Lola
Bruce Springsteen - The Line

I found a bunch more but I'll let you guys come up with a few more...

Billy Dean's song "mountain girls" talks about girls in their cj7's.
And the best C. W. MCcall..."cj5 with a four wheel drive", "bear creek pass."
Allan Jackson, "drive"

The song: " I remember Jeep "

George Harrison

There's a camp song called "Little Red Jeep"

Once There was a little red Jeep
The cutest little Jeep you ever did see

The Jeep was on the wheels
The wheels were on the ground
And the fire in the engine made the wheels go round
Ba-Dop-Bop-Ba-Da-Da-Ba-Dop-Bop

And on that Jeep there was a seat
The cutest little seat you ever did see

The seat was on the Jeep
The Jeep was on the wheels
The wheels were on the ground
And the fire in the engine made the wheels go round
Ba-Dop-Bop-Ba-Da-Da-Ba-Dop-Bop

And on that...

This is a building song with hand motions.
The order of the song goes like this:

Jeep
Seat
Girl
Hat
Feather
Flea
Elephant

This is one of my favorite camp songs.
Hope you like it!!

of course he does...Ford owns him...Almost is enough to make me hate Mr.Jackson. How many songs has he done about fords? Buy me a mercury,I know there was a couple more can't remember the names. Try to forget anything having to do with ford.

CW McCall has a few:

4WD Cowboy
Convoy
Four Wheel Drive
Black Bear Pass

most the time i go wheelin i'm playin CW McCall
:D :D

CW McCall has another one called "Around the World with The Rubber Duck"

And...as quoted by Dr. Moab regarding Alan Jackson, "of course he does...Ford owns him...Almost is enough to make me hate Mr.Jackson."

Alan and Denise live about 10 miles up the road from me in Nashville, and I feel I can call them by their first names, as Denise joined the church with my wife and me....never once have I seen either of them in a Ford. Everytime I run into Denise at Wal-Mart, or around town, she in in the Escalade. The few times I have seen Alan around he's been in a Porsche, or one of those new Chevy convertible pickups....the SR1 or whatever.

Also, if you look at some of his newer videos...since "Drive" and "Who's Cheatin Who," he hasn't used Ford vehicles....The newest video I recall with vehicles in them had a Chrysler minivan and a Cadillac Escalade.

That's kinda funny to hear that Alan Jackson drives a Porsche and his wife has an Escalade...The image put forth of country singers is they're all rednecks driving trucks... Guess they're a bit more "sophisticated" than most think :D I'm surprised to hear that he would be caught dead in a Chevy SSR, them things is sacrilege as far as trucks go...

There is that T-Rex song (lamenting jeepsters), and the Dead song about sugar magnolias (does "Willy's" count as Jeep), and a large number of country & western songs to choose from (but since San Francisco City has banned any reference to mother-earth murdering OHV's all known original copies of these 60's icons have been distroyed).

How many songs have Cherokee in them?
guess the Tim Mc Graw song indian outlaw doesnt really count.
