Rick Bookstaber, who currently serves on Obama's Financial Stability Oversight Council, the federal body established under the Dodd-Frank Act to “ensure the stability of our nation’s financial system", quoted Karl Marx on his blog when discussing the devisive nature of class warfare.
Bookstaber stated: I believe such a "war" can be justified, and indeed ultimately is inevitable.
He failed to associate the fact that "class warfare" was used by Hitler to single out the Jews and gain support for the torture and murdering of 5,000,000 Jews.
Nor did he reference that the same tactic that was used by Mao Zedong, a student of Marxism, which ushered in communist rule in China and the consequential death toll of 40,000,000 people. (low estimate)
It's easy to discount individual pieces as inconsequential, when one shields your eyes from the completed puzzle........

I don’t even know where to start with this one……….um, Mr. President….that government research that you mentioned…….see the government doesn’t actually have any money to do these things, unless it takes money from business owners and shareholders, as well as wage earning private citizens and consumers, in the form of taxes and regulatory fees. See, the government doesn’t have any money that it doesn't first take from someone else.
Our government exists because of We the People, not the other way around. I would think the President of the United States should know this, just like every 4th grade student.
This unbelievable American system that you refer to, it's called Capitalism and free enterprise. This is what has allowed the USA to develop into the greatest nation in the world and provide more opportunity for an individual than any other nation in the history of mankind. Our Founding Fathers saw this vision and laid the groundwork for it to happen.
They were also very clear on pointing out that the larger the government grows, more it will restrict the rights and freedoms of the individual citizens and stifles free enterprise.
They lived under an Imperial ruler for centuries, we are getting a glimpse of what they feared, in real time.

On the surface this clearly demonstrates a president who is out of touch with reality and, more importantly, how unqualified he is for coming up with a sound plan to fix the economy. It also shows his true colors, much like the "Joe the plummer" event. He thinks government is central to all things, which is contrary to the intent of the founding fathers.

I can't wait for Obama to give his speech on how successful government influence and intervention has been for GM, and his poster-child Green car, the Chevy Volt, which continues to hemmorage cash. Taxpayers continue to see the tab run up on this poor decision by Obama.

One more thing about Obama's over the top stupid comments that business owners don't really own their own success. As one economist said, this was the president's attempt to create "intellectual space" to justify his argument that top earners have an obligation to pay more to trim the deficit. It's a false premise. How about Congress and the president be more responsible with taxpayer money? It wasn't the small business owner who borrowed and spent $5.3 trillion the past 3.5 years.
