On the surface this clearly demonstrates a president who is out of touch with reality and, more importantly, how unqualified he is for coming up with a sound plan to fix the economy. It also shows his true colors, much like the "Joe the plummer" event. He thinks government is central to all things, which is contrary to the intent of the founding fathers.

I don't believe it is just the president. It is most elected officials that are out of touch with reality.

Communism doesn't necessarily happen overnight. Especially not in a country so used to freedom and where a military coup is highly unlikely. So while, yes, we do have it pretty good here, you'd be a fool not to keep an eye on things or to ignore the signs. Just because things are still good doesn't mean the groundwork isn't being laid, or that steps aren't being taken, liberties aren't vanishing.

What social obligations do you feel are being called communist? Read through the Constitution, the Federal gov't is given very few social obligations. Much of what we have today was an add on after the fact.

Once upon a time (in the 1800s), "liberal" and "libertarian" meant the same thing; "liberals" were individualist, distrustful of state power, pro-free- market, and opposed to the entrenched privilege of the feudal and mercantilist system. After 1870, the "liberals" were gradually seduced (primarily by the Fabian socialists) into believing that the state could and should be used to guarantee "social justice".

They largely forgot about individual freedom, especially economic freedom, and nowadays spend most of their time justifying higher taxes, bigger government, and more regulation. Fast-forward to the 1920's when they used the label "Processive" as thier popular moniker.

There is a clear tie between the Democratic Party's Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC), Communist Party USA (CPUSA), and the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

"Although Progressive share much in common with CPUSA and DSA, they are shrewd enough to understand the terms "communist" or "socialist" are unpalatable for most Americans. Hence, the word "Progressive" was injected into American political verbiage.
While the words are not interchangeable, one thing is for sure: The CPC is doing its part to further the goals of modern Communists and Socialists who have found a voice in the Democratic Party."

In 2002, Communist Party USA PAC leader Joelle Fishman reported CPUSA uses the Congressional Progressive Caucus as "an important lever" to "move the debate to the left." A February 2, 2010 Communist Party USA article "Convention Discussion: A Time to Grow" explained they plan to meet their goals by running for office "within the auspices of the Democratic Party" because "conditions rarely if ever allow us to run open Communists for office."

The same article praised Obama's election asserting, "We have the opportunity to build something big, a large, influential and effective Communist Party USA. After the incredible movement to elect Barack Obama, more far-reaching solutions and socialism in particular are back at the dinner table for discussion."

On just that topic; ever wonder how many “plants” he (obama) has in the military? Have we already seen a glimpse? The armed forces will take the constitutional stand by backing the constitutionally obligated citizenry when; not if they act. You didn’t hear it from me, but they are already taking up positions on US soil for what they see as inevitable. Hopefully it will be a quick matter with a minimum of bloodshed; it may get a little messy in the southwest. Dual citizenship only means that a person cannot be trusted; the actions of a foreign national can be predicted. Do not for a minute think that Mexico will not move on the opportunity; do some homework on the current political goings on down there concerning California. One of the Channel Islands is a drop in the bucket.

The Fed just monitized more debt, hoping that keeping low interest rates will help encourage people to spend more money and boost the economy......but this action also further reduces the value of the dollar, so consumers will need to spend more to get the same widget. QE1 and QE2 have failed to boost our economy, so why would you do it a 3rd time? Who's running the show, a community organizer who is clueless about how capitolism works?

A bag of chips costs the same as it did 2 years ago, but instead of it being 20oz, it's now 14oz. Same goes for a box of cereal.

Weird, that sounds like I'm spending the same, but getting less which = spending more, which = INFLATION.

On April 25th, 2012, the Fed owned $1.668 trillion.

Experts say that by the end of 2014 the Fed will own as much as $5 trillion worth of debt.

The Fed doesn't have the ability to absorb $5 trillion in debt.
