Hey guys, so hypothetically speaking, what do you guys think my Jeep is worth.....

I am looking for three prices...
If I were to sell, what would be:
1) decent selling price?
2) what would be a little on the high side?
3) what would be highway robbery?

Yeah, I realize this may not be the right group to ask Jim, but still curious....and this is totally hypothetically!!!!

I'm gonna throw out an honest opinion here...

If you sold it to a Jeeper, probably not much, but if you sold it somewhere like race dezert, as a pretty much street legal jeepspeed, you could possibly fetch 9-11k I'd guess. It's a done jeep... the only thing killing you is it's not '97+

Ok, that is a good starting point...my brother about a year ago sold his 1992, with fox coilover front, and deaver/fox rear for around 6800. No cage, or anything like that, just a solid suspension. It was still on short arms, etc etc....

Thanks for the number Jim!

And that's what important. If you honestly break down what you have done, it's done. There isn't much else you can do to it. And this isn't one of those "You never get back what you put in things" because it's finished. Someone just has to buy it, turn the key, and go haul ass through the desert. Honestly, for what I paid for my Jeep stock, if I had the money I'd have bought yours for a bit more...

I think with the way the economy is going right now you would be quite lucky to get 7K for it! And that is on the high side.

my $.02

people who have money are still spending it. People who don't, (like us) aren't spending. Race-dezert folks still have money to play with. My company is still going through with a million dollar build up with this economy and the owner is gonna buy a Viper or a new challenger with a super charger (charger alone is $7000, and there is a waiting list).

Tony, I think Ebay (with a reserve) or RDC are your best bets and Jim is pretty close to my number as well. I think if you got $15K you should give the guy a reach around. haha

Hypothetical... sure.

Every time I said that I had a for sale sign on a month later ;)

Bored with it now that its done?

Yeah, i agree on the economy thing. It has certainly had an impact on some folks, but not on all..... In the off road community, there are some that are just wealthy, and the kink on the economy isnt doing much to hurt the toys they can buy.

The new challenger kicks ass, my brother just bought an SRT8 last weekend, and it is a hooooot to drive!

As far as 15k, dude, I will let the guy give you a reach around!! ROFL!
