Might consider selling the AR, what do they normally sell for fully built ? This one is pretty sweet. I don't want to sell it if ill loose on it.

Anywhere from 800-1200
It can be more than that but for highend builds.

I built my gas piston rifle for 700$ so I wouldn't pay over that for anything without a piston

Also, for this state, it depends on the political climate and how hard our elected officials are trying to ban our EBR's.

I've sold a few rifles to people at the range for stupid money ($3k +) because people thought they were going to be banned.

This year has been all about semi auto pistols since most of them ended up going off the DOJ list due to micro stamping (oversimplified, look at CalGuns for more info).

There are builds that can reasonably cost 2k. So you may of just bought a high dollar rifle. Do you have the specs?

This too, How educated the consumer is varies the price greatly I've seen low end DPMS going for 2k at gunshows. A few years ago they were the 700$ "I'm not sure on the quality" rifle.
